blooming in the desert

Hello again,
Thanks for your prayers... things are blooming in the desert here in Egypt.  Sleeping well, good ministry, fellowship, etc.
The students are asking questions and digging into the Bible.  Tomorrow morning we will have a time of bringing our offerings of worship to God.
This afternoon, Didi and I were able to visit the ancient Coptic Christian monastery nearby - what a treat!
The internet connection is quite slow so this is short.
Keep praying for these young Egyptians and for me!

From the desert

Hello all,
Some of you read the news yesterday that there was a bombing in Cairo in the tourist section of town.  We arrived in Cairo yesterday just after that attack and our chauffeur tried to navigate the busier-than-normal streets of a city with 22 million inhabitants.
We stayed in Cairo last nite and it was a very disturbing night with sleeplessness and fears abounding.  I prayed most of the night.
Today we drove 2 1/2 hours out into the desert and arrived 15 minutes before I was to teach.  The class is so young, so hungry and it was a joy to teach them.  I had a good nap this afternoon during the sandstorm.
Tonite we'll pray for extra protection and God's presence to lead us.
Please pray with us!
